Another 5?

Ok, why a 5? I was thinking about getting my dad a Becker for his birthday. What is this knife good at? I wanted to get him a 9 and dress it up just because they are cool looking.

Sorry flav, you missed the deal - they only run for a certain amount of time. I'll PM you the link though and you can request that they re-run the deal. If enough people request that it be repeated, they'll try to work it again. They've also run at least 3 other Becker group-buys in the past 6 months or so and claim to be gearing up for a BK4 deal soon. :thumbup:
 
Yeah, you can get really close to that deal if ya look around. Pretty much about a $5 discount. A bit of a wait tho since the lot is ordered as soon as it ends and then distributed after they receive the lot.
For $5 more you can prob get one in about 2 days...
Still a good tho if ur in no hurry.
 
I won my first Becker here on BF in a give away, sharpened and convexed by Jerry Fisk. I haven't gotten a chance to use it though. We've had so much rain trails and camping are out for the time being. However, my fiance bifurcated a very large spider with it.

I think its a great design, and I can't wait to take it camping and hiking. I'm sad its being discontinued. Any idea why its being discontinued?

Its been a slow seller, so they're dropping it from production. Same deal with the BK15 (shrunk down version of the same blade design), as well as potentially the BK4 (don't recall if we've heard the official word on that one yet). It seems that they keep the ones that sell well, and slowly rotate through others.

Its sad, but has happened before, and sometimes models that disappear come back later. The BK10, and BK4 were both gone for a long time, and are now back in production. However, sometimes the blades just don't come back (the BK1 is likely out of production for good).

I may need to snatch one up, as I've not yet used one, and they're getting cheaper.

Iits awesome that you won that GAW. The fact that it was sharpened by Mr Fisk himself makes the blade something special, and I hope you enjoy it. Also, you'll have to let us know what you think of it once you stop bifurcating spiders with it, and getting some real dirt time :).

Yup, the 4 is on it now. One day soon I'm going to just get another order of the 4,5, and 15 trio. Hope they're all still around in August as this seems to be the time I will be able to swing it unless the RBK drops by then...
 
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, the same group-buying website is now offering the BK15 at 31.99USD (if enough commitments to buy). To Belgium it's 13.40USD shipping though, wouldn't know what shipping would be within the USA. Just sayin'.
 
Just under $7 in US. Another "save $5" deal. I wonder if they double shipping for 2?

if you're asking where you should buy one, i don't think were supposed to post specific sites? but lets just say mine shipped with free 2 day shipping for $42 :D
 
got mine in the mail yesterday........very nice and it was the old stock...i got a stamped BK5....alright!!
