There was an unexpected package in my mailbox today. When I opened the box from Paul I was completely blown away by his kindness and generosity.

Along with a very gracious letter explaining the gift was a pristine Case 6292 from 1977!

I promise more pictures when the weather clears, but here is a quick one snapped on my kitchen counter chopping block of the big jack alongside the Schrade 12OT used to open the package.

To say I am humbled by this gift would be a dramatic understatement!

Doug, I'm just glad you like it my friend. It just sat which in my opinion is a shame!!! I see your fondness of CASE knives and sometimes knives just speak to us. This one spoke your name:D

We all enjoy your great pictures and what I call your trademark CASE 6232 with great brown bone covers---so I thought that this would be a great fit for a great forum member.

Great forum, great people, great knives, BFC Traditional' s Forum sets the standard one of the many reasons we all come back, that and the folksy atmosphere. ;)
 
Paul is a great guy, he sent me a beautiful 1970 Case 62087 Jack and a Buck 301, he is a generous soul and a special one.

It is still dark and raining here this afternoon, but I took two quick shots to show off this beautiful gift. Paul has a particular picture request, which happily I am able to fulfill next week when I visit family in Indiana.

Yep, Paul H. is most definitely a good guy.
He's great to do business with, and he is also very helpful with aspiring collectors such as myself.
Traditional forum is by far the most generous of the bunch.

Absolutely grand gesture, and I love love love the bone on that guy, my favorite parts are the light colored 'highlights' closest to the bolsters.
