Wife and I celebrated our 47th last week. 7/11 in 1971, indeed lucky numbers for me.
I was 25, she was 28. (Just last week one of her friends reminded her that she was a cougar.)
I wrote my usual anniversary poem, which was raved about. It was not quite R-rated, PG-13 maybe. (Last year was a real page-scorcher.) She says she had much more rather have these than flowers, and they don't cost anything so I am glad to oblige.
Last year I discovered that the restaurant in Selma where we had our first date is still in operation, so we went back there. I think that we will make an annual thing of it around anniversary time. got to get it scheduled.
