Just picked it up last night. Now, I just need to pick up that hand crank antique forge on CL. Weighs 65 lbs. and the only obvious markings are Z68 and A26114.
Thanks for looking.

Take some measurements of the anvil. The 2nd set of numbers is somtimes just dimensions.

like 26" from horn to tip. 11" x 4" of face. This prob isn't an American anvil so check cm too.

The Z68 is prob 68 lbs.

Main face is 12.5" x 3", 21.25" OAL, 8" tall. A cursory sand blasting exposed an upside-down USA stamped into one side. The square hole (hardie) is 7/8" square and the round hole is 1/2". Base measures 7.5" x 9".

Very impressive identification, guys. Sure enough, among all the marks above the USA, I see the diamond of the Trenton logo, and can rather clearly make out "TREN". Of course, I couldn't see any of these before the sand blasting.

Now, is this a good anvil? I'm assuming that I didn't get ripped off paying $100 for it.

Thanks, Stacy. Perhaps equally impressive is the fact that Google already lists this posts as the 6th result when I search for "1902 trenton anvil"!

SAM! I want to buy a hammer!

Sorry folks, I know this shouldn't be posted here.

I have this anvil for sale, but I wasn't selling it here in this forum. That wouldn't be allowed as this isn't the for-sale forum and I would get in trouble if I did. Please respond to the CL ad and I'll chat with you via e-mail. You wouldn't want the stand, it doesn't fit the anvil.
