Another Bark River Testimonial!

OK guys, I just pulled the trigger on a Barkie that I've eyeing for a couple weeks. I got the Northstar in sheephorn. I ordered from knives ship free. I talked to a guy named Derrick at knives ship free and he talked me out of ordering a Bravo in sheephorn, said it would be too expensive so I did the next best thing and picked up the Northstar which truth be told is what I wanted. I'll probably do the Bravo in green micarta but I'll have to see how I like the Northstar. What I'd really like is a Bravo, Northstar and mini Northstar all in sheephorn. I'm sure I'll be pleased.:D:thumbup::cool:

I said it before, I'll attest to it again Scott Dog: If I could afford them all in Big Horn Sheep, that's how they'd be ordered!

Come on guys this isn't helping. Isn't there someone out there who can tell me why a Bark River sucks? Please anyone....

BRKT sucks because........ there aren't enough of them on the market! (And I have yet to find a brick-and-mortar shop that stocks them!) :D

Ok, I'm drooling over a Bravo in Spalted Maple. Does anyone worry about the natural material handles possibly being harder to find if dropped in the woods. Red linen would stand out more and is a good deal cheaper.

I can't say as I ever thought about that....about losing a wood-scaled knife. I really just like the look of Maroon (followed by red) linen scales. For some reason, those two colors just look good to me on the Northstar's blade profile.

After working so hard killing the serpent, I just felt the urge for a little head.......

...but these fangs kept me from getting too kinky.....

Did someone say that Bark River is a sickness? Sadly for my wallet, it's true. Small but growing collection...

Ouch! Ouch!! Ouch!!!

You guys seem to have found the keys to my poor old wallet. I've got to have one for myself now. Anyone have an idea on the best place to buy?

My last buy was a Canadian Special and KSF was outstanding, highly recommended. See his post on this thread (okbohn) for a link. DLT Trading is very good as well. Everything these two sites display for sale, they have in stock, no fooling around.

Here is another vote for the Barkies. These knives are the best cutting knives I have tried. I got my second Barkie in the mail today and I put it through the pases. Every year we buy BBQ from a church, and this was the first time they did not cut it up. We got a shoulder and I spent some time cutting it up. Here is my huntsman in sheeps horn.

Thanks Derrick... if you could do that (check with BRKT [maroon or red linen] I'd appreciate it ((and order it!)) Nows the time to correct an earlier error. A couple of weeks ago, I praised your shipping time, saying I ordered it Friday and received it Tuesday. That was an error. I ordered it SUNDAY and received it Tuesday! (I don;t know how I managed to goof that up)

I'll see what I can do!
