Another benchmade sprint run!?!?!?!

I just saw on a knife dealers website that they are coming out with another limited run of Benchmade Mini Onslaught... this one is gunna be the same as the SHOT show one, except murdered out, (a Black Coated Blade)

Has anyone else heard anything about this? Or have i just been living under a rock?
 
so it is real? i thought maybe it was just getting my hopes up! like the ZT 0560 tiger stripe blade

what are exclusive runs for benchmade?

I know spyderco exclusives mean the dealer can order more whenever they want, but are benchmades the same way? Looking at the website, it seems to be labeled under "discontinued knives" as opposed to their dealer exclusives, and their description says "limited run" as opposed to dealer exclusive, so I'm not sure what this means... buy first ask questions later :D

Ordered one before I wait too long and they run out...like what usually happens with the knives I want.

ehh, don't think this works.
I could be wrong, but I added 1500 and it let me do that...and I doubt there are over 1,500 knives in whatever kind of run this.
If only I had 227,200 dollars to spend on all these knives in my cart...
 
I went ahead and ordered one! Hopefully Benchmade can keep up with our demands... i added 300 to mine too... so far they need about 2100+ in this “limited” run hahaha

To be honest, I kinda blame you for my purchase. I stumbled on your shot show mini onslaught thread, and immediately wanted one. Ended up just getting a para2 in orange in the mail which I tried to trade you for the shot show...you didn't want it....and now I ordered the mini onslaught. Now I'm stuck with two knives... :D

how am i going to sleep now? knowing that I’M responsible for someone now owning two awesome knives...
i feel terrible!!!! If you feel “stuck” with your Organge Para2 i am always open to donations... in the name of science of course :D
 
I missed out on the SHOT show exclusive back in February so I couldn't pass this one up, I had to pull the trigger immediately despite the fact that I just spent $225 on a knife today. My bank account hates me but my inner knife nut is overjoyed. I can't believe these are shipping out so quickly too, it seems like they were just announced!
 
Well this has helped my EDC tremendously, my wallet just got a lot slimmer.

I had been eyeing the SHOT show mini onslaught as well. Saw this and had to order. Also thought, what the hell, I've been wanting the BM 710 in M390 to try out (never had the 710) .... ohhhh what's that? They have the Ontario Rat-1 in orange/satin? Let's make it a triple play!
 
Also I should say I hate coatings, and Benchmades BK coating isn't even among the best (the diamond coatings from other manufacturers are better), BUT in this case I'm fine with it as D2 really does rust/patina if uncoated in a humid environment. One of the few cases where I do see an advantage with a coating.

I should clarify, this is a limited run, 300 is the number we were told. And it is also an exclusive. Benchmade will do limited runs that are only available through one retailer, I'm not sure if spyderco does this. It's much more rare for Benchmade to do an unlimited exclusive, but they do occasionally, like the 710-2.

As for it being in the discontinued section, I believe that is just a glitch since it just went up today. I'm sure they'll move it under the right heading when they catch the mistake.
 
Dammit! It's way cheaper than the uncoated version as well. Sigh....that's another one I got coming.
