Another "best knife for ..." question

Just got my Brusletto from UPS and I like it. The knife is shaving sharp, right out of the package (came in a padded envelope - no box).

The handle and guard are definitely utilitarian in appearance, but both are more than adequate in function.

I think the knife is an excellent size and weight for it's purpose, which is household utility. It should definitely be easier to use than the heavy Greco Companion I've been using, which is better suited for prying up boulders in the back yard.

W.T. Beck:
Glad to hear you are pleased. I think the knife will perform well for your purposes.

When the time is right, I encourage you to build your own knife from parts - - there's great satisfaction in creating your own. Knives are a special breed of tool, nearing companion status for most of us. You can put a lot of character and personality into your handmade knife, and vest some of your soul in the heart of the blade. You may yet have that Falkan.

Cheers,

W. T. glad you got your knife and are happy with it. I can't beleive nobody mentioned the Spydie Moran! Comfortable suregrip handle and if you can find an old one a VG-10 blade. They are a little over $60 new but you can look for specials or post in the blades wanted forum. I've got a couple of the old ones and one of the newer droppoints and I think they are great.

Thanks, Phantom4,

I've heard nothing but good things about the Moran, but it was a bit over the price limit I had set. Maybe I will get one later. For sure I will pick the Moran over any similar Marble's, as I am totally fed up and disgusted with the difficulty in getting a Marble's knife.
