It's fun for me to gift knives. I know I really don't need anymore, but I still get the rush of buying something shiny and new. At the same time, they don't sit around on my desk reminding me that I don't really need 'em. I also get to play around with them, so that's always fun. Ha, I must be getting old.



Awesome, and I agree.

I'm getting old too. And more cynical and selfish. I've spent damn near my whole life in selfless service roles and finally gave up that I was ever going to make a difference. My knife buying is for me, my wife and my kids and that's it. I give away some of my users and abused form time to time but never new.

Rock on though! I respect your generosity!
