I just received a Spy. Navigator from LeadFoot today and it's great.

However the USPS priority box was in bad shape, squished and creased, and the only tape was holding the tabs in. The corner seams were untaped and there was a .5 to .75 in gap on each side at each end. Luckily the knife was still in there. Another day of transit and it might have slid out one of the ends.

Shippers, make sure you tape up your seams!

I had this same problem with several packages. Once I got a package that had come undone and the shipper didn't use any tape at all. Thanks to my trustworthy mail carrier, he put a rubberband around it and held it together until I got it. I always wrap lots of tape around those little packages. I have had packages sitting on my dest just open all of a sudden by themselves. This is because of change in temperature. I guess it makes the glue let go.

Anytime I send a package, the person receiving it almost needs a chainsaw to open it with. NOTHING is going to escape from one of MY packages, even IF I DO have to use a whole roll of packing tape!.:).

tape, tape , tape...then some more tape...then some tape on top of that tape......

after all, its just another reason to use the knife you already have......cuttin up that roll of tape....

and then whoever is getting the package gets to use their knife..

..don't get in a rush tho, or you will get blood all over your new knife........

don't forget the tape!!!!!!!!!

There should be no reason to not use tape. I mean sure some people might say "It'll make the box hard to open." But crap, we're knife enthusiasts...if we can't get the fricken box open that's just plain sad.

Got a pair of Kershaw Chives drop shipped to me...tape all over the USPS box...just the way I like it!
