Another Busse in the Walking Dead

I don't know if these questions have been asked before or not. I can't spend as much time here as I would like. Too many life obligations.

How did the BUSSE knives end up in the Walking Dead TV series?

Did the movie people contact BUSSE COMBAT directly with their particular knife wants and needs or did they just purchase them on ebay or some such place?

I also wonder if the knives have been dulled down for the series so that an actor does not inadvertently cut himself?

At least one of the Team G's is sharp. In the early part of Season 2 on Talking Dead, we saw a behind the scenes clip on cutting open a walker's stomach, which was actually a cardboard box that Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) stabs into and slices...

In a later scene on the show during Season 2, he's using the Team G to sharpen branches for arrows.

...And here we see the edge fairly clearly...

The others are, I'd imagine, dulled for scenes involving running, rolling, remaining sheathed, stabbing "walkers" etc. I'm guessing that there are 5-6 or more Team G's on set. Usually, any prop that is "real", i.e. sharp, dangerous, etc. remains locked up and with a brightly colored tag attached to it stating that it is ______ (fill in the cautionary warning) until needed while the ones that are strictly props, whether real but modified or copies are safe to leave on the propmaster's tables or in trailers.

Here in the pic below there are 3 whole Team G's and a Team G handle (no blade) on the table...

Just managed to watch the latest episode (where Rick and Carol take the road trip), definitely a FBM as in that scene as the "spine humps" are as plain as day. I almost want to mail them an ASH1 myself...just so as *I* can be at peace they are properly equipped !!!!!!!! ;) :D

I did. They sent it back with a note that said Norman (Daryl) sez it is way too badASH for him to handle. ;) :D:D

(J/K! :foot:)

I caught that, looks like mammoth handles now that I get a good look. I want those handles for my NMFBM...

Looks like someone in the TDW production team has good taste in big blades

.....maybe when he grows up and gets his big boy pants he will be able to handle a real Busse, not one of the "girly" LB series .................. :D :D
