I was wandering about my favorite thrift store this afternoon and came across a great source for small cheap stainless steel pots-- old milkshake mixer cups. They started making reproduction milkshake mixers to use at home and the steel cups end up at the thrift store after the mixer dies or gets out of favor-- for 99 cents. It holds about three cups, but it won't fit over a one liter Nalgene. You could easily get a bottled water container in there, or just stuff it full of gear. The one I found is seamless and good and stout-- no problem boiling with it. 5.8 ounces, which isn't too bad compared with other steel pots. Add a wire bail and a little foil for a lid and your *cookin'* :D
