Found this a little while ago when looking for reviews on the Inyoni.

"Chris Reeve Sebenza 21 TC4 Titanium Folding Blade Knife"

It even says, "by Chris Reeve"

I called CRK today and spoke with Angela. She said she will look it up and try to get Amazon to pull it.

I hope so.

This is really one of those deals one should stear clear of.

[we don't need a link]

Honestly the photo make the knife looks good, the box looks good, the unsuspecting buyer will maybe get a Faux Knife or Counterfit for that price.

This is what is happening with products that sell for big bucks. Someone buys the real deal, it is shipped to Asia. Then the counterfitters have something to make copies of that look like the real deal.

This happened to Calloway golf clubs. They used manufacturing in China and the factories would steal the molds or make sprint runs. Some US manufacturers try to mitigate this by not giving any one factory full production of every part. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of intellectual property in production folders so washers or SRBS can come off the shelf. The day will come when Reate and Rike get cloned. May have happened already?

I think this has a lot to do with the Chinese knife making clones, Kershaw/Spyderco, etc. outsourced their production capabilities to China and now they have experience in making knives for the US market.

eBay is full of CNC copies of CRK, Strider, Hinderer copies...they blatantly sell them as machined copies of those knives but at a tenth of the price.

The Sebenza clones look so real i'm tempted to buy one to compare but i don't want to supportr them.

I reported them as fakes to eBay but i doubt they care unless i'm the patent/tradename holder.

eBay couldn't care less, they are in it for the fees generated by the seller.

Up until the manufacturers lawyers contact them, then they sing a whole new tune. But you are correct, there is no doubt.
Report the auction numbers to the manufacturers through an email to their customer service or sales department. They will have a much easier time dealing wit it than we will. ;)

I'm curious; if the listing clearly says "clone" or "type" or "copy" is THAT considered OK?
