Another copywrite violation? (SOG)

1, If I have to resort to throwing a 'hawk, the game is already over. Someone is going to the morgue while the other is going to the hospital. A dollars worth of lead shot should have solved the problem.

2, I have exactly one (1) knife in 420. There is no reason to spend hard earned cash on blade made of 420 longer than 2". I know some folks feel its good enough but I've never liked the stuff. 440C is my personal minimum. Thats just me. I hate having to sharpen stuff on a daily basis.

3, eeeewwwww... Thems some fugly knives/hatchet.

I actually like that little mini knife they have. But it doesn't even rank a "420" blade, just generic stainless.

I really liked their old sog bowie when it was made out of sk5 instead of AUS-8 like now. They have had some decent knives, but most of them are in the past and it looks like now they are trying to market less expensive knives, well except for I think they have a san-mai folder or someting like that.

What exactly did SOG "fuse" together? And why do they need to advertise their name so much? Can't they make knives with a style that can be recognized as SOG the way Buck or Spyderco or even Cold Steel do.

Or did they just give up on style and decide to go with "blatent":D

I hate to be a party-pooper here, but since Mike And Progunner are probably still in transit from Blade, I will mention that Jerry wants to keep this forum free from bashing of other manufacturers. If a moderator was around, this thread would have been shut down by now.

I don't think anyone was just bashing SOG. Laughing at some silly products, perhaps.
Would be more entertaining if it was in W&C. . .

I do have to agree with MikeH. I think any regular here would have to agree also. Jerry, Mike and/or Progunner would shut down any thread where we actually discuss, with humor or not, the shortcomings of blades/manufacturers that we feel/know are inferior. This is the forum for the discussion of superior blades. ;)

Yes, these threads generally are shut down.
But I wonder if they would like possible infrigements posted, or if there is an appropriate way to let them know of possible violations. I'd like to help Jerry out if he want this type of help. I've found that emails to the Busse company is unreliable because of the email filters, otherwise, I would have just sent this info there.
BTW.... I have not bashed SOG or that ax at all, despite my strong inclination to do so. ;)

In the past I have sent E-Mails directly to Jerry about Talon Hole imitations.
He prefers to handle these issues offline.

In the past, any emails that I've sent to Jerry have been hit or miss, mostly miss, which is why I've basically given up emails. Did you get responses every time? (even if automated?)

Yes, I have always gotten feedback from Jerry.
I think I'll just send a PM to Eric or ThatMguy in the future, and let them pass it on, if they so desire. thanks for the info!
