Another D2 HT Question

As I said on my other post, it's been a while since I've done HT and it shows:

BENT BLADE:
This is a folder blade and it's pretty far "over"(not rubbing liner). I just forgot to check before the temper(... I could have corrected it).:o

IS D2 FORGIVING? CAN I DO THE HT AGAIN?

I can stack uneven washers and improve the condition a little.

thanks1

Just straighten it by heat it up to 400F or (temper temperature - 25F) whichever is higher. Use 400F if this blade used secondary hardening temperature around 1000F. LOL - sometime I hit 400F (wear thick or welder glove) D2 blade straight with a hammer on an anvil.

:confused:So, do I repeat the whole HT process(Frank)?...................or..............Just go straight to 400 deg to straighten up blade(bluntcut)?

Best opportunity/way to straighten is right after quench and temperature between 800-400F. It's quite hot and doesn't give much time to make it totally straight (especially from uneven grind)... so

Most of my warp blades warp taken place after cryo. So I straighten them after tempering process is completed using 2 clamps and a pivot in the middle. My recent D2 & K110 knives tempered between 325-375F (in an old toaster oven), so I straighten my them at temper-temperature minus 25F because open/close oven most likely to overshoot this straightening-temperature toward temper-temperature anyway. btw - my D2/K110 knives hardness between 62 to 64.5

:confused:So, do I repeat the whole HT process(Frank)?...................or..............Just go straight to 400 deg to straighten up blade(bluntcut)?
