Alright everyone
So for a while my system has been:
Silky saw
Bk9
Small belt knive.

I want to change it up a bit. I need help on deciding on my new system.
I feel as though it would be more efficient for me to carry the silky saw, a neck knife (tops msk 2.5), and a 6" blade to be able to leave the bk9 behind. The knives I've been looking at are: TKC esee 6 builder with kydex sheath$175, Tops tex creek xl $135, BK7 $165 (upgraded sheath, and scales).
These knives would be the work horse of the system. Fire prep, cleaning game(paired with the MSK), general camp chores exc.
Which blade would suite me best?

If you're dead set on one of those three, I think the esee would be the way to go. I'm a fan of the BK7, but for a general purpose workhorse knife, the esee may be a better all-arounder. In my experience, the blade profile and choil make it easy to use this mid-size knife like a smaller more controllable knife. Out of the box the BK7 has the best handle ergonomics, esee 6 has the better sheath, and the Tex does not have the heavily coated blade. I found the Tex handle and jimping to be uncomfortable with extended use, and the BK7's 7 inch blade less handy than the 6.5" choiled blade of the esee and the 6" Tex. The thickness behind the blade edge can be a factor as to performance for your desired tasks, so you may want to inquire a little deeper into that. That being said, the main differentiation between the three may be the user skill level. All three are reasonable choices, made from quality materials and manufacturers.

Thanks for your input. Good info

I agree with Munzer on pretty much every point, if you're set on those three I would choose the Esee 6. A true workhorse for its size/cost and I think will outperform the other 2 by a decent amount for your stated tasks. Paired with their Junglas and lite-machete (maybe a multi-tool) I think you would have just about anything imaginable covered. :D
