Another don’t loan/lose your knives thread

I browse clearance racks for loaners to dull coworkers and friends who don’t know the difference between a $125 knife and a screwdriver. I bought a set for $10 the other day at a big hardware store, multi tool and knife with prybar at the end, made of unknown steel and branded by a tool company. Great moron-loaner combo! Would you blame your buddy if you gave him the keys to your car because he didn’t “seem that drunk” and then he totaled it? Same philosophy with beloved knives. Ignorance is lack of sober thought.

Smells fishy.. What kind of "knife person" wouldn't take pictures and just toss it..

I believe it, I’ve done things out of disgust—regretted or not. But me, I would’ve sent the knife back to spyderco to see if they could fix it. Oh wait, the blade was snapped so, what else can you do?

That is why I have a multi-tool.

I guess it takes all kinds. I once watched someone use his Tanto folder to tighten a screw on a hose clamp. I know for a fact that a multi-tool was also available. Go figure.

Lol, yes sir, some people's children... It's funny, I do carry a multi-tool quite often. Or at least a SAK that has a screwdriver, (though I know how that can work out) but neither was with me that day.
