This is another one of those "good news" posts and giving credit where credit is due. We're all very diligent about complaining when stuff doesn't go well with customer service, including me. Lately I've been trying to also give credit to companies that DO a good job, tell them thanks, and call them out for good service at least word of mouth. Recently I had another thread about good service from Spyderco and Kershaw.
A week or so ago I purchased some stuff from Machete Specialists (https://www.machetespecialists.com/). Their service was excellent. One thing they did that impressed me was they replied in a friendly, informative way to an email I sent asking options about their products. The person who replied even went and tried different sheaths on a machete blade, and then emailed me with the results. Seems like a small thing maybe, but in this day of foreign call centers, companies who don't answer their phones or reply to email, service people in knife or tool companies or hardware stores who seem not to know which end of a wrench to use, surly customer service reps, etc, it's almost exceptional when you find a company and service person who actually cares.
Machete specialists: nice work.
