I got warned for posting a link to a fake on the basis that it was "deal spotting." I disagreed, but they didn't take it back.

You received this warning in 2007. Rules can and have changed since then.

That is odd, but at least there was no points given. There is a Mod that puts up fakes in the Spyderco room. I checked, and the last one he put up is still active.

It depends on which mod is involved. It is supposedly a "zero tolerance" type of rule.

Not really true. Links to active auctions are permitted in Bernard Levine's forum. Active links can also be allowed in other forums depending on if they are adding to the discussion.

I posted exactly like this and got nailed by Karda for deal spotting. 10 points for 1 year... I'd reword the op to point out your purpose for posting!

You make a good point. The OP simply posted a link to active auction. As I said in my earlier post, instructions are posted on how to report fakes to CRK.
