Another fake strider ???

It's crazy that no one does anything. The link I posted stated 15 to 21 days for delivery from "Hong Kong" I mean really!!!!

I found some listed on eBay awhile back being sold by a seller in China. I sent the link to his auctions to Joe Houser and Buck got the listings removed. The guy has never listed anymore and I keep an eye on his listings to make sure.

It does help sometimes, but I've found that just reporting it to eBay as an individual does not do any good. It only seems to work if it comes from the company.

Let's not forget this beauty! :barf:

ha ha,that looks like a m tech...........

I think about 4.9 ounces, not positive. Some of the Buck Strider models were pretty expensive.

We are seeing more and more of this stuff- excuse me, junk. We are even seeing web sites selling Buck knockoffs- the problem is that the companies have no physical presence in the US or Europe, only China. That means we cannot effectively shut them down- the Chinese government doesn't really put much effort into stopping forgeries. So, the only way to stop them is to try and get customs to sieze any counterfeits that come into the country, and when it is small "personal" shipments that is next to impossible.

With the help of one of our European distributors we did just shutdown a business in Europe selling Buck forgeries (and a lot of other forged name brands). There were 2800 counterfeit Bucks at the one location. We were successful because of the help from our distirbutor and the business had a physical location in Europe.

When they are on eBay, we can shutdown the auctions, which we do when we catch them in time. One problem though, they just start another auction; sometimes under a new name or even under the same name.

Part of my role at Buck because of my legal education is to deal with these issue. Unfortunately, it just seems to be getting worse and worse.

Thanks to you guys for helping watch this stuff and letting people know about the scammers.

This is my Strider and they are pretty close. I know mine is real. It was purchased in 2004. It was beadblasted and then bottom half polished.

BtoB--- Yours has a date stamp of 2001 with SB.3 , I really can't say what that means but IMO it is the real deal. (STRIDER BUCK. VERSION 3). I would contact Jeff Hubbard of Buck who works with people that have questions on the forum. His e-mail is JHubbard@buckknives.com

Please look into strider, his past, stolen valor, felony convictions, etc so you are educated before you jump into his stuff. Most of it is here on the forum to include being taken to court by the forum owner here to force him to admit much of it in court documents.

I enjoy my USA made Buck strikers. Made overseas, forget it.
