I can't get mine to look like that to save my life.

MrPurple, (Matt, is it?) The micarta on this one is bead blasted. I always finish with a 400 slack belt after shaping with the wheels, then if it's to be blasted, I blast it. :)
 
Almost forgot to post the specs. :D

Steel: Forged A2

Blade length: 9-18"

Handle length: 5-6/10"

Guard: 416 stainless

Handle: black canvas micarta

Bead blasting.... hmmmm... mind giving me a brief tutorial on it via email or PM some time?

very nice. Does it half a "half"....or is it "3/4" tang like a Randall 14/15?

It's a full tang. Is that what you're asking?

I second that emotion! Also, let me guess. You typed "WOW" and it wasn't accepted when you hit reply, because it was too short of a reply, didn't you? I know this, because I replied WOW once and it was too short and made me post a longer reply.
 
I like this blade, the curve at the end of the gaurde does something for it as well that I can put my finger on. It would make a heck of a pig sticker too(maybe a little wide of a blade) great job Phil:thumbup:
