Another Fowler sheath

In between making a bunch of sheathes for TonyM I made this up. The lined sheath I made originally was a little too pretty to carry while backpacking. I wanted something that would give me multiple carry options. So I made this one and gave it a horizontal carry strap that is also the firesteel loop. The main belt loop has a strap keeper loop for attaching to a pack shoulder strap. I punched a hole at the bottom for attaching some paracord.

I waxed this one to make it more weatherproof.

I wanted it to be less pretty....more sturdy.

That is just too PLAIN...well thought out and nice in its own right. I find that Fowler Stone Mountain an artfully beautiful knife, one that I will have at some point. Bruce's work is easily a match for such a blade. While I am going to wait on the Fowler, I have a few other pieces that I figure are worthy of aquiring a really nice sheath. Bruce has been spot on knowledgeable re. carry options for a small and a bigass knife being made. His prices are amazingly almost shockingly reasonable - you guys ever been to a freakin' Coach outlet store? Anyway check out his stuff on the sheath forum and if you have any beloved knives... Damn Tonym and Bruce, it was bad enough when it was only knife lust:D.

dude, you're amazing with leather!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the simple but elegant look of that. Nice job Bruce!

that's bad a$$ dude.. it's been crazy around here, i haven't done any leather work for a while...

Wow, looks great bro, I really dig the strap!

I'm gonna have to breakdown and get one of those Fowlers.

sounds like tony is keeping you busy...

i like that sheath, but i would worry about the retention on the firesteel...i would be afraid it would slip out bouncing down a trail.

Your fear would be unfounded. That rod is in there tighter than a Thai hooker.
