I wondered how the guy got a 9mm since he was discharged from the military for psych reasons, and therefore Brady would have prevented him from buying one.

Turns out his mom supposedly bought it for him before he was discharged and diagnosed with paranoid schizophenia, and she let him have it when he got home. BAD MOVE.

I guess there is some sort of a disconnect between the military and the state. When my buddy in NJ was involuntarily hospitalized for psych reasons the police were at his house to take all of his guns before he even made it back home from the hospital
