Another Griptilian mod question

I've looked at my Griptilians for years and thought about making new handles for them, not because I'm dissatisfied with them, but just to try it. I've done numerous fixed blades from kits and mods of some fixed blades but no successful mods of folders. I looked at pix from others who've done Grip mods as well as Wilkins grips. I've already ruined some nice micarta, so some G10 scales are my next potential victims.

My idea is to try a set of scales without the stainless liners inside. G10 should be stiff enough, my concern is the lack of a stop pin. I could get a pin and put it in the appropriate spot, in a recess on each side. I'd also need back spacers, too, but that should be pretty easy.

I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you might have!

I would highly recommend working with the steel liners, there are more positives to including them than negatives. Remember with a dremel or a drill press just about anything is possible.

I'd be interested to see how your work turns out. I'm waiting to order some scales from Cuscadi for my Mini Ritter Grip but Luke has apparently been ill for a while so work has slowed.
