Another HIker/Backup

I have been thinking of a Hiker with 3/32 x4 1/2 inch blade and 4 1/2 inch handle with a Backup with about a three inch 3/32 blade and a four and a half inch handle in a double sheath.

Sounds great, but might be a bit heavy. Maybe the Backup could be skeletonized like the one John posted recently.

What scales would you choose?

It would be cool to do a set of knives again. The only set I`ve done was Noshtero`s Kephart and Pocket Kephart, but I did not do the sheath setup for it.

I wonder how heavy it would be with fairly thin micarts and kidex sheath? I guess I could weigh the set that I have now, the 3/32 should be a bit lighter.

I must be looking into May now. I guess another though would be one as a necker and the other on the belt.

I did a special order Backup last year out of 3/32" stock with a 3" blade and maple handles that weighed 2 3/4 oz. without the sheath. I swiss-cheesed the tang under the handles.
