Here is another bad pic of a bad knife:D I did a little expirementing on this one. 6 inch W2 blade rubbed out to 2000 grit with 416 fittings and dyed stag. This was the fist time that I used my new etcher on a knife and I am fairly pleased. No more messed up stamps, hopefully:thumbup: I also used the female side of a stainless Corby bolt and my new hanlde bolt countersink drill bit for the first time. I have a tiny gap, but I was able to grind the nut flush with the buttcap.

Your right Joe you shouldn't have such an ugly knife.
I'll PM you my address and you can send it to me. that way you don't have to see it.
Just kidding really nice look'in blade,Good job.

Really nice Job Joe, Do you think the 2000 grit is "too far" for a nice hand rubbed finish?

I can't keep those little scrathes very straight, so I go for the "hazy mirror" finish:D

I hear ya, I try to do the same thing. If the scratches are to small to see you cant see all the "hooks" ;)
