I am trimming a little more of my safe queens lately, and have another Jerry Hossom Spyke up for grabs. Not many of these FULL size Spykes were made. If my failing memory does not steer me wrong, this PURPOSE BUILT tool was made out of 3/16" stock ATS-34. While a few small needlepoint 'snakebite' knives were made by Jerry, there were only a handfull of these large ones.
Measuring 12" OAL, checkering on the thumbramp, with a 6" blade that grinds down to nothing at the tip, believe it or not, the Spyke is still the scariest blade in my collection to anyone who checks it out. This is a wicked knife that demands respect that is a @#$%& to grind.
I have included close up pictures of the INSANE "S-curve" plunge line that only Jerry can bring to life. If you have some grinding experience you can really appreciate the complexity and insanity of this work, and I think this sexy plungeline along with the "down to nothing at the point" grind screams Jerry's one-of-a-kind talent. All done by hand.. bare hands, cost him a few fingerprints too
Mint condition. Never carried and definitely not used.
Knife is sold as is with no sheath, and will be shipped with the tip and edge protected in a soft case.
Note, discoloration is from grease used for storage, and will be wiped off upon shipment.
