Another Ironwood FBM

very nice. I really like the finish, the swedge, and that handle looks great!

has anyone used that wood on a hard use beater? what results?

I wouldn't worry about Ironwood too much. It is darn strong. To me it seems to be harder to work than micarta. It is a very hard and dense wood.

Just beautiful Ban.

Shiney steel and a lovely slabs of wood, what more could you ask for :)

SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE! SWEDGE!

Me likey!!!

Just for the record, what was the original Busse used on this modification? Was it a CGFBM, an LE or FFBM? Fantastic work. Congratulations.

It was a FFBM. My favorite modding platform with the most potential:thumbup:

Marc,

I had a feeling that you would be partial to your Ironwood FBM ;)

The frosty finish is done with buffer and some Scotchbrite after doing the initial grinding up to 220 grit.

It's only a matter of time before I figure out which of my beauties I need to have 'Banned'...nice work as usual.

Ban,
I do like that finish a lot, between this and a satin/mirror finish, which would be more durable and less prone to show scratches?
Marc

Wow, I really like that! The frosty finish is sweet and those handles and swedge looks fantastic! I work of art worthy of any Ganza for sure
