Finally broke down and got an ESEE Izula ll and love it. My last small skinner had a nearly identical blade, but the handle on it was just a bit too small. The Izzy is perfect. Probably the best out of box factory grind I ever seen, 20 deg. (my standard on this type knife) and I don't have to re-profile! My only observation was that I got the kit, mainly because the belt clip was a must-have for me. It took me a minute to figure out why the 4 mounting holes wouldn't line up. I think the plates are designed for RH or LH carry and really probably should be marked as such. The metal clips can be reversed, but I'm assuming the textured side of the base plate was designed to go to the outside. Difference doesn't matter, but ESEE should at least reference it on the instructions sheet for "slow folks" like me. Vendor probably didn't know the difference either, as I saw no unique part number.
