Well, mine came in today , and I'm thoroughly impressed. It's so much more than I expected. A very solid piece !

All in all , I am very pleased indeed. This is going on my belt in all my adventures from now on. The sheath is pretty good too. The knife clicks right in. The weight is no issue either. I'll post more pics in the outdoors in the future.

Thanks to all concerned for making a great knife !!

So, it finally came in, huh? Congratulations!

Odd, isn't it? You see pictures, read about it, hear people talk, but until you actually have one in your hand, you really don't understand. Then you get the feeling that "this is what a knife should be."

Take pics when you use it, and let us know what you think.

Thanks guys. No , it's not my first. I have a BK9 ( with the 13), and the Becker Necker.

dawsonbob, you're right. Nothing beats holding one in your hand. The weight and balance are right on. I can't wait to head into the bush :D

I am also waiting to see what's coming out next with the "tweeners" . Time to build up some cash though ! I've spent a small fortune in the last few months. But I tell you , more Beckers are on my radar !

Be sure to take pics for those of us who don't get out as much as we'd like.

Will do. I am just getting the hang of computerin' , picture takin' , and such technical stuff. I'm doing not too bad for a middle aged hick :p

Yup, I'll bring the camera with me when I go bush. Work takes up a lot of my time , but when I go I have some great places to show you fellas , ( with knife porn of course ! )

Glad to be part of the family.

ps: I can't put this darn knife down ! :p

Took my 2 to show my dad. He made me leave it with him! Put it next to his Randall Model 18. That says a LOT.

If an old guy like me can do this computerin' stuff, I'm sure a young fellow (anyone under sixty is a young fellow, unless they're female, then they're a young lady) like you can do it.:D

Glad to have you in the family. You don't have to explain about not being able to put it down; we understand. Feels good, doesn't it?

If you let people handle your BK-2, they'll want to hang on to it. It's just the way things are. Can't explain it, it just is.

Hey Hiwa....

Thanks for the kind words and pics and I too hope to see some hard use pics.....Soon!....

All Best,

ethan

Is the Bk-2 good for gutting cleaning fish, what i want to know is the blade to big in length for cutting fish, etc?

How's the BK2 for relatively smaller hands? The scales on that handle look substantial or maybe it's just an illusion.

I've been looking to get one but no one in my area carries the line so I can't kick the tires before buying.

ive used mine to filet everything from 20 lb channel cats down to 2-3 lb largemouth bass. from frog legs to whitetail deer, mine has seen it all:thumbup:

I'll never forget the first time I saw mine.

It was late at night, dark, cold. The ring at the door was like an orchestra, a symphony composed just for me. The package was signed for, and the BK2 was mine. She was beautiful and my love has only grown with time.

sweetness! the bk2 is quickly turning into my favorite knife.

my hand is 8" wide from the tip of my pinky to the thumb when i spread it as wide as i can and the bk2 fits me just perfect. the thickness of it also plays a huge part in filling the hand.

here's a pic i just took to help you decide. do you have play-doh to create a model? :D

each side of the grid is 0.5". i only have a basic tripod so please excuse the optical illusion of the pommel not lined up. in reality it's lined up perfectly with the blue line. if you need more measurements let me know. i have a caliper that can read in 0.001" increments haha.
