Another Kaala question.

This knife is almost exactly the same as the original prototype from Tom Mayo himself - the first hole (closest to the blade) had to be moved to the side a bit to make it work with button catch in the ambidextrous sheath, but other than that, it looks like the original proto.

The Kaala really fits very well in the hand - the lightening holes, the curves, the choil all work together really well to give a nicely secure grip.

I collect skeletonized knives and have many, both custom and production.
The Kaala is a good one. (Especially for the 60 bucks or so that it sells for.)
 
$60 is a steal for that knife - normal wholesale is about 50 bucks! Good find! As for wrapping the handle, we've actually played around with it around the office too - it looks pretty cool. No plans for production though.
