This knife is a wyoming skinner 440c with a Brazilian King Wood very pretty I will admit im having a hard time to get the scratches all out of the tang area but i cant see them unless the light is perfect with magnifacation .You might see them when i zoom in. This one never took nearly as long i used the power tools more.I hand sanded for 1 hour verses 4 or 5 with my 4th one.

Beautiful knife! Where did you get that wood from? So far I am making all my handle material (home made micarta of different colors) but I want to try some natural handles on the next ones as they give a way more traditional look.

Man, you're really coming along! Nice knife! That would make anyone proud. Keep it up, I can see you've been bitten. ;)

Nice work, the brazillian king wood looks great:thumbup:-I wish my #5 would have come out that good!

Looking good overall.

That sort of profile always looks real weird to me, when the blade rises above the handle. Is that to keep your hand away from the work-piece when carving and such, like some kitchen knives?

I'm not mocking it, a lot of folks swear by that style. I will have to try one...

thanks ya all . I just buffed the steel and all the tiny scratches are gone ,its even nicer now. This King wood is hard to find and is almost as hard as iron wood . This type of handle is to protect your fingers and is a very good thing to have when gutting and skinning large game your hands are covered in blood and very slippery. My mini bowie if mt favorite knife and has a finger gaurd like this . kellyw

Nice job, looks great. Try blue 3M masking tape works good and is allot eaiser to take on and off instead of duct tape.
Keep up the nice work:thumbup:

AL does the 3m masking tape hold up to the sander if it touches the tape i hit the duct tape several times and got worried.
