another knife "kit" (Fallkniven WM1)

Great setup! Will you post comments after using it and how it performed.

I am struggling to find a source for 2mm spectra line ..... any suggestion? I am in Africa and most won't ship international ;-(

Cheers from Africa

I've got a week long trip down in New Mexico coming up in a couple of weeks, so I should be able to give a decent report after that

I can say that w/ my limited experience with thus far, the WM1 is a very capable knife- the convex edge from the factory is razor sharp, the fit in the hand is very good for such a small knife (medium hands here- might be a little thin for large hands??) and the VG10 has proven itself pretty well in wet environs

I source my small Spectra here, not sure if they ship international though- http://www.ultralightdesigns.com/

Thanx for the link ...they do ship international ;-)

Kind regards from Africa

Thanks for the post and pics. I just got an A-1 in and I think there are several pssibilities for this sheath with some inner tube. I like that it is more stream lined and less bulky than a lot of survival knife sheaths out there (I'm getting older and taking less with me) and I think some inner tube will quickly help the tip up retention.

How does the thermorun handle hold up in a kydex sheath? Did you have any wear issues?

thus far, no problems- I have one that still has the original thermorun that is edc'd

Fallkniven used to make a kydex sheath for the WM1- I think the reason they may have ditched it is was there was no retaining strap (liability), but I guess it's possible it was the handle material- although there are a lot of WM1's (and F1's, A1's, etc) that sport kydex sheaths, so my guess is- not a problem :)
