FWIW,
I'm Site Admin for another disscussion forum elsewhere on the net, (no, I won't "plug" it every time I post! LOL!)
and I will shamelessly admit that I burrowed heavily from Mike and Spark on Admin policies. (Unbeknownst to them!)
Did I ASK them how they did it?
No. I WATCHED!
and then I adopted a great deal of the way they conduct business. Why? Because it works!
Want PROOF that it works?
Look up in the right hand corner of the Forum list, and see how many members there are today.
On the net, if your way of doing things doesn't work, you don't last. BFC has stood the test of time.
You might not always like the way they do business, and yeah, I get my fair share of "bitch and moan" mail myself, but you can't please everyone all the time, the best you can hope for is to keep everyone mollified most of the time and happy every once in awhile.
