Knife OAL;8 1/2 inches
Blade;I ground this blade out of ATS34 steel 3/16 inch thick with a chisel grind.I did a hollow grind into a flat grind before tip with a distal taper.File work on rounded spine and hand sanded to 600 grit with a satin finish.

Handle;Morel mushroom hand carved from Moose Antler.Brass guard with file work faced by fossil Walrus Ivory also file worked.
Display;Four hand carved Morel Mushrooms out of Moose antler.Knife sits on hand carved brass peg attached to a piece of quilted maple with black felt bottom.

I spent many hours of carving and I just noticed I forgot to trim the black felt before I took the photos.It will be trimmed.Knife and display come with a certificate of authenticity.

Thank you very much for the compliment.Yes I made a big mistake doing what I did but now I"m glad you brought it up when you did.You made me realize that was a waste of the little talent I have in building knives which I love to do.Don"t know what else to say here except if there are any other knife makers reading this DON"T misrepresent anything about your work because it will catch up to you.I am a example of that but with me I really learned a lesson the hard way and it will NEVER happen again.Thanks very much again Bill.I really appreciate it.
 
Boy Ray it just gets better and better. This is an amazing piece of art. What kind of time do you have in it? Where did you get that piece of moose horn? Great stuff. Later.....

The Moose antler came from a moose that was harvested in Alaska in 1939.It was big for a moose from what I have been told.Took two 24"x60" wood crates to ship it to me.Also I have approx 55 hours in the whole piece.The carving taking the most of the time.Thanks again for the compliment.
