Another mushroom hunters knife in W2.

Hi Fred,

You don't have to worry about my feelings....I don't have very many.

Fair enough, just couldn't figure out a "soft" way to write what I felt had to be written.

Glad your customer likes it.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Steven,

It states in your sig line "The way of the warrior is a dying art". We are in complete agreement. My concern to not insult or injure you comes out of this mindset. My 16 years of training, only stopping when my knees gave out at 65, ingrained in me that possessing personal power puts one in a position to be magnanimous and in so doing, to grow and learn.

Thank you, Fred

Hi Fred,

I don't train much anymore....since my Sensei passed on, it just isn't the same...BUT....I always said that if I couldn't sit in seiza anymore, I would quit training....so there we agree on two things.

Thank you for being a gentleman about this, and

Best Regards,

I get it, Steven, and of course it's accepted practice. But, why don't you spend the next thirty years if your life making thousands of knifes, forget one thing in a long lifetime, and have someone come on like you have. How much better it would have been if it had went something like this:

'nice knife, Fred, a shame you don't know what wood it is"

"Yeah, guess I missed that one, my mistake" And that's what Fred would have said, if he hadn't felt slighted.

All I'm saying, Steven, you could have made your point more tactfully. And isn't that what you are trying to do these days? I like you, but come'on!

I'm inclined to agree with David on this matter. "Tact is the art of making a point without making an enemy." Howard W. Newton. STeven, you stated that you are trying to be more tactful - as Martha Stewart says: "It's a good thing." :)

Little late to the party, T.K., but you don't ever resist an opportunity to take potshots, do you?

I stopped commenting on YOUR knives because you are one maker who is most CERTAINLY beyond accepting critique without getting butthurt.;)

"Better late than never." You're mistaken - I gladly accept tactful critiques and have no patience for rude bullies. I was merely trying to support your stated effort to be more tactful. :)
