I like the lines of that, but Bark River should stick to uncoated blades, IMHO. Their coatings are pretty awful. The coating on my Bravo Necker flaked off in big chunks just putting the thing into its sheath.
 
I really like that blade profile.

My problem with barkies are the handles. They have lots of flats, edges, and noncontoured areas. That handle looks ok though.
 
I have to also agree on the guard, but I guess they know what works for them better then I do...

I could be mistaken, but I believe the STS-5 and Bravo Necker handle scales are CNC machined, which is different from the typical sand&polish handles BRKT typically does.
