Hows it going everyone? Im new to ESEE and to this forum. A while back i was looking for a new small fixed blade edc, and some people on another forum recommended the Izula. After some research i found it was the perfect knife for me. I bought it a few weeks ago and put it through its paces and was extremely pleased with the results...so pleased that i now own 2 of them(one has been dedicated to a survival pack), im in line for the Izula II, and im about to order an rc-4:thumbup:
A little about me. Ive been an avid outdoorsman my whole life. My dad and grandfather had me in the woods as soon as i can walk, and its been a struggle to pul myself out of them since then. Before they both passed away they used to take me and my brother on "journeyman hunting" trips. Wed basically find an out of the way plot of game land and head out into the woods with only what we could carry. Wed usually spend 3 days or so hunting and shooting the shit around the campfire. They were both Military men and lifelong outdoorsman, so i consider myself privileged to have been able to learn under them. Im proud of the fact that i can go humping into the woods with only the bare essentials and live happily for as long as i need to, and its all because of the things they taught me.
Anyway, on to the pics. I know this is just an Izula and im sure youve seen thousands like it, but i love this little knife and its whats gotten me addicted to ESEE products...so it deserves some love in here. I did the wrap on both the knife and sheath in a simple fashion that will also allow me to carry as much extra paracord as possible. The crown knot on the end is more to give my pinky something to grasp than for just looks. The wrap on the sheath is something that my pops taught me. It allows it to slide onto the belt easily, but when you try to back it off(like when you draw the knife) it tightens on itsself and doesnt move.
