Another new gun! With my first attempt at grips

Talked awhile with Jeff 4bush last nite...he said: send both guns; he has plenty of Cerakote!

He is a class act.

Didn't realize he has his FFL now; we can send him guns by UPS for Cerakoting.

I think this latest steal ---and I do mean STEAL---should be done in Coyote Brown & Tan, Chris....or black & tan.
To match those fine grips you've made, of course.

Nice score Chris, you can't go wrong with a 1911 & getting a loaded one for a great price is sweet, congrats.
And nice grips too dude.

Well I got to shoot it this morni.g before work. I really like the thickness of the grips, im not a thin guy. I only shot about 50 rounds but I had no issues. The triger is downright outstanding. Im not a huge fan of the sight setup, I prefer a blacked out rear, so I think Im going to try a 10 8 rear with the front trijicon. The parkerized finish is starting to grow on me and I think I will just keep it the way it is until I get the front strap stippled. Now all I need is a few more mags and Ill be set. It fits the delfatti IWB leather great. I cant recommend that guys work enough. While expensive, he and Brommmeland make great rigs for the 1911.

Gonna keep it as is now Gnarly but it will eventually get redone. Ive been wanting to try Melonite or Ionbond for awhile so I might go that route. I want more of a plating than a coating on this one. Something in Matte Black or Black/charcoal grey. I am however getting the wifes Sig 225 refinished with Jeff. Ill take some before and after pics to show Jeffs work. She likes black and Ive always wanted a blacked out gun so I think Ill get him to black everything including barrel. For anyone not familiar with the Sig 225/P6, its an outstanding value. I think they have gone up in recent years but I got one back a couple years ago when they were being imported for 250.00. Its a single stack 9mm which makes it perfect for CCW.
