Might be of interest/help to some. :) It's not quite a 102 video... but pretty close. We'll say it's Hand Sanding 101.6793 ;)

Thanks Nick, I guess it's true, the devil is in the details. Great tutorial, thanks again.

Pat

ps big dog!

Much appreciated Nick

Thanks

Thanks Nick! Need to make more tools. Keep the videos coming. By the way, how big is that black bear that was in the video? LOL

This is crap, none of these methods work.

(sorry had to get a jab in :p)

Look forward to watching this later, thanks for the taking the time to make it.

If it wasn't for you taking your time to make these videos, I'd be wasting A LOT of mine trying to get anywhere close to a decent hand sanded finish. I really appreciate you putting them together for everyone, you're truly in a class of your own. I employed the first videos techniques on a knife and just had to show it to everyone because it was the first finish I was genuinely proud of!

Great vid. Great fixtures as well. Your dog looks like he would be super comfy to lay on while watching tv.

Thanks for the vid NW! As always, got a few great tips, but now I have MORE fixtures to make because of you!

Geez who is this Nick Wheeler guy? I mean c'mon already! :D :p In all seriousness though, THANK YOU Nick! Not just for the technical help but for letting me know that there are other CDO types out there for whom there is never "good enough", just "better than before"

Thanks for the great video Nick. I'm curious if you ever thought of have a machine shop build a lot of the sanding tools you use and selling them like people do with the file guides. I still have one of the old green sanding rest's from uncle Al's. Every time I stab myself or cut myself I keep saying I'm going to build a rest like yours but then get busy with something else.

Thanks guys. :)

The black bear is one of my baby boys... Bentley Sebastian Wheeler. ;) :D He and his brother get mistaken for black bears pretty often, LOL.

We had to do an unscheduled visit to the vet today because B-dog got stung on one of his jowls and it got super swollen. Point here being that I can tell you exactly what he weighs. He's a bit bigger than your average dog... ;) :D

Bentley, me, and his litter-mate Oliver... :)

Jimmy- Not really... most knife makers are too cheap and most of us all have that, "well I can build it myself!" attitude, so I haven't pursued anything like that at this point.
