Howdy,

Just finished this knife. It's a little different than the others I've been making, in that this one doesn't have the finger groove. Here's the specs:

Steel: O1

Blade length: 5 3/4"

Hardness: 59 Rc

Total length: 11"

Blade width: 1 1/2"

Blade thickness: 3/16"

Handle material: black canvas Micarta

Price: $175 + $8.50 shipping

Sheath: Black leather molded pouch type.

Right now the blade has a handrubbed 600 grit finish, but if you want it bead blasted I can do that for no extra charge. Like wise the handle has a smooth sanded finish. If you want it bead blasted to give it better purchase, let me know.
The tang is tapered to cut down weight. Handle has a stainless lined lanyard hole, and I'll include a lanyard.

That is my idea of the perfect outdoors knife. Now if I can figure a way to swing it. I'll let you know. keepem sharp

PS excellant design and execution

I have one of Phillip's from the last batch of 01 utility's and it is the perfect outdoor/camping knife. Excellent work and fine quaility.

Thanks for the comments guys!
I'm down to one 40 grit grinding belt, :( so this is going to be the last knife from me for a couple weeks probably.
Still available BTW.

Wow, that's nice work and I really like the look of the handle. I like knives with a slightly larger handle since I have big hands. Wish I could pull the trigger, but alas I cannot at this time.

Wow finally another guy likes big handles!

I agree, unless it's to keep the sizing small for edc or concealment or people who have small hands, why do so many knives have 4" handles?

I need a minumum of 4 1/2 grip area!

The last set of knives out of Mr. Patton's shop sold in hours. If this is taking to long to sell for you Phil let me know maybe we can work something out?

Cheers!

:D I had one knife up here for about two months before it sold. Sometimes it just takes time for the right person to see it.
I appreciate the thought, but you shouldn't buy this just because you think it should be selling quicker, you should buy it because you want it. :)
I think you said you preferred the style with the finger groove. If you want to wait for one of those, that's probably what you should do.
Thanks for bumping it again. :D
Would be nice if it would sell, though; I need more grinding belts. :D

That looks like some very nice work. Could you email me a pic of sheath next to knife, and a high res of knife? I would like a closer look.

Thanks!!
