Another Oilcamp Cup failure

I'll have to check out those MSR 22oz cups.

A few weeks back I finally found some of these SS olicamp cups at a Bass Pro shop. I never could justify buying online because the s&h alone would propably cost more then the item.

The handles do seem really flimsy, and I had to finger phuck through the entire shelf before finding two suitable cups. Most had missing or misplaced welds on the hinged section on the handle meeting the cup. I took them home and seasoned them on the bbq using olive oil. I didn't notice cracks/wear, but will go back and look again. Again, the handles were very difficult to use, specially hot w/ hot liquid inside. I also have a feeling they will bend and break while inside my pack.

The only place I've ever seen the SS MSR cup was on the PracticalTactical site. It's more expensive than the GSI or Oilcamp cups, but it holds 4-6 more ounces, it has a pour spout, measuring graduations, it fits all of my Nalgene/Guyot plastic and stainless bottles, and seems to be well made. I've been happy with mine and the difference in price is worth it to me. I'm not affiliated with the site; just a happy customer.
