Another one for Les Robertson...

This beauty is on it's way to my home. Whoooppieeee!

May each of you and your families have a Happy Easter.

Phillip,

Is this the first with no serial number, or did you hide it?

Thanks,

Raymond3

Howdy,

This is the first one without the numbers.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments! I hope you all had a nice weekend.

Thank you Phillip,

Well, this is my first ABS Bowie, so that seems fitting.

I noticed that one was with W1 and another with W2. Which is this? Also, what grit did you finish it with? It seems smoother than most. I don't see a hammon. Is it differentially tempered?

Forgive all the questions. I am just a proud new owner asking about his prize.

Thanks,

Raymond

Hi,
Well, thank you for picking mine! :) I haven't sent this one out yet, so it's kind of surprising that it sold already. LOL
I have to stitch and finish the sheath, so it should be going out tomorrow.

This blade is made from W1. I was going to use 1084, but since one blade I made from it had a problem, I decided to go with a tool steel, which, being a higher grade, should be cleaner than carbon steels. The W1 I have has .84 % carbon, so the performance should be the same.

I gave it a 600 grit finish, no hamon or differential heat treat.

Nothing to forgive; I enjoy answering questions. :)

Thanks,
Phillip

Thank you Phillip. The knife is even better in person. The balance is excellent for such a large blade. I am very satisfied.

another fantastic looking knife!
