Another one leaves its box.

Now we know who has all the black box Winchesters. ;) Yep, I can see any of those in the pocket of fellow who spends most of his time outdoors.

Actually, I only own two and I got 'em this week. The other's a sowbelly.

(Had three but mailed one off to Gus today just because.)

Blues,

If'n you wouldn't mind, do you think you might find it in your heart to post a pic of the Winchester sowbelly, please??.

Thanks,
Anthony

Sunny,

Your wish is my command.

Two of these pix were posted on these forums by another member (I forget who) and I downloaded them to my computer. (The ones with the cartridges.) The others are from commercial websites.

It's a really nice knife, as is the other Winchester. They do need some sharpening though. Seems like they came with very steep edges on 'em. It'll be worth the work if they used good carbon steel. (I heard that they had.)

One of the nice features is that the scales are old Utica Cutlery Co. bone with a peachseed jig.

Blues,

Thanks very kindly for posting the pictures here!!. They are very classy. I have had several of these knives(although not the sowbellys) and they do have carbon steel and a variety of nicely jigged scales on many of the patterns.
