another overnighter: burnt holy book and plan b.

Thanks for the ride... very nicely done, felt like I was there until I realized that was the air conditioner I kept hearing :)

gotta love the L6, I'm curious how it holds up for you in comparison to others you have..

beautiful pics btw, gonna have to get an emberlit eventually... I keep trying to hobo my set up and I get massive smoke.....

take care,

Sweet tarp set up! Thanks for the photos. Really makes me want to go outside right now... The photos of that svord machete are cool, too. Been eyeing one of those fellas.. Probably the orange handle.

thanks! i really like the svord's design - the thickness is exactly what i want in a knife this size and since the blade is narrow, it's still very light and fast in the hand.

Good Stuff!

What bug net is that ?

THANKS

thanks! it's the "pro force jungle mosquito net single cot" and it's permethrin-treated. i first read about it from reuben/bearthedog so i knew it's a good design, and it is.

I did cross the legs. I will take your advice and set up on a piece of wood next time and i'm sure that will solve my issues. Thanks again!

anytime!

Those look like Blueberries to me but there is a small chance they could be Black Hucks. 95% sure Blueberries 5% sure Hucks. They do look heat stressed. Nice photos and cool shelter/camp. Thanks for taking the time to post the report.

you're welcome and thanks for the tip! i'll snack on them next time for sure.

Nice pics 'Ol Bud ! I like the looks of that machete ! Thanks for sharing the pics.

thanks, man!

Awesome, just realized that years have no camping at all.

thanks! you just realized that you haven't gone camping in years?

thanks, rob! heh, i'm not sure i'll be taking my other machetes out from now on...i really like this svord!well, except maybe my 18" - there's still no replacement for a true machete.

the emberlit is hands down one of the best pieces of gear i've ever bought...it's crazy efficient with wood that i still get that camp fire experience without heavy wood processing.

Great pics and adventure JV3 . I always enjoy your "once a month" get-a-ways.. ..In two weeks, I'll be heading out on my third trip this year!! For me thats alot, there's a group of us kayaking/camping on the Mon river and I'll definately take the camera this time..

thanks! i'm hoping the heat will die down a little for the next trip...looking forward to seeing your trip's pics!

That explains a lot. Even though the images posted to this forum are tiny, I noticed they didn't look like they came from an ordinary camera. They are quite attractive, and it's also because they didn't come from an ordinary photographer.
