it's been a very long time since the last time i posted a trip report...i never stopped hiking or overnighting but just got lazy taking pics...this past weekend i actually have a few decent ones to remember the trip by so might as well share them.

on this trip one of our friends who tried my bob dustrude quick buck saw got addicted to sawing and firecraft in general...i think i might've lured another one from the pure hiking/alcohol stove only world more towards the bushcrafty/cook real food world :)

rainy and cold...chilling with the mad indian...pic credit goes to emily.

pan full of bacon fat in the fire = fire ball :)

That's a good looking fire!! Guess you need it if it's that cold. I'm in Australia and it's stinking hot right now.

Sometimes chilling by the fire in the woods is all you need for a nice relaxing outing. It sure beats going to work.

Damn, the kebobs look good JV.

My wife doesn't like to camp when it's cold (we in MI). The older I get, I don't like it much either. I'm only 48 but the knees feel 58 and the back feels 68.

We'll be out in spring I hope...
