Another PM2 thread...

I have been using the S110v para 2 since it came out about a month or more and The edge is actually holding up better than the s30v when it comes to micro chipping/rolling. Now I'm guessing this has to do with the higher hardness and if you pushed them harder it may be another story but no micro chipping/rolls when cutting cardboard and zip ties unlike s30v on occasion. Now for harder use than that I don't know if S110v is gonna be better or not but so far im impressed. Now that Spyderco is using a hell of alot S110v now I'm sure we will learn a lot more about this steel.
I love the s110v pm2, been using mine about a month as well. I've used it on TONS of cardboard, stripping wire, whittling wood, feathersticks, and plastic strapping. So far no edge damage rolls or micro chipping, and by routinely stropping it I haven't even had to sharpen it yet. This thing holds an edge forever it seems.

Got mine in the mail today! Don't know if I'll have time to take a good picture before it goes dark outside, but I'm very happy with it!

I concur starting with the standard S30V model. The BLK/BLK S30V was my first PM2, it's also the one that led to the addiction I have now (and as you can see I've expanded). As far as a personal favorite steel I love S110V, but have had no problems with S30V. I love them all, so it's really hard to narrow down. Start simple and go from there. If you're wanting sprints/exclusives be prepared to drop some money. The CTS-XHP and S110V can be found in stock, just gotta know where to look. Good luck!
