Another Pocket Dump Thread (with a twist). Kinda.

Not really sure where to post this so it's going in general knife discussion.

My pockets can only carry so much stuff. Then it becomes problematic. Recently, I lost a fifty dollar bill out of my pocket when I grabbed my iPhone. Fifty bucks. That's a budget knife in my book. This mishap got me thinking about some changes.

Many of us carry a bunch of gear as part of our EDC, right? How do you do it? What part of your EDC gets carried and what gets stuffed in a gear bag? You know, the pouch that stays in your car, backpack or briefcase?

I guess this thread is not just what you carry but, as much (or more) about how is it carried or used. Of course I am interested in what you carry but, I would love to know what pouches, bags and packs you use, and why. What works, what sucks.

Well I guess that's it. Pictures, and brand names would be nice, if possible.

Thanks, everyone.

BDU/cargo pants and BDU/cargo shorts. Carharrt. Mossimo. Kifaru Urban Zippy for amusement park excursions and the like. Gear is dumped into Kifaru mesh pullouts and/or lock and load pockets...

...what pouches, bags and packs you use, and why.
I have packs and pouches from Arc'teryx, Kifaru, Mystery Ranch, Triple Aught Design, Spec.-Ops and Maxpedition. Why is because each have certain products in a specific size/color with a specific function/feature that the others do not.

Yeah, I'll play. I will try to post "total dump" later today if I got the change.

A bifold wallet might help with what happened to you?

I've been working for years to get my pocket carry down to a manageable minimal in weight and size for maximum functionality. Here is a recent photo.

The knife goes in a belt pouch. The hank in a back pocket. The phone is a thin old school nokia in my right hip pocket with the wallet, the keychain in the left hip pocket. End of story. Everything else lives in my bag and I am fine going out without my bag for shorter trips without feeling unequipped.

Some of you guys carry a lot of stuff. Everything except my phone a zippered wallet = no lost cash.

left pocket is car key and loose change - right pocket is EDC folder, thats it.
back right wallet (no money)
back left is loose bills (no many, so its not visible) and other "papers" i may want to keep like a receipt or business card.

I also have a waist wrap or belly band for concealed carry of items.

then I have my man bag. its a Douglas Insulated Lunch bag by Fit n Fresh - the wife grabbed it for me b/c she was tired of me carrying my lunch in old grocery bags. its got a small snap pocket on the front, and and large zippered main pocket. My lunch - and everythign else goes in here. adn it goes just about everywhere with me. shoulder strap for easy carry, brown duck style canvas styling, insulated. its a satchel - Indiana Jones had one

I wear carrhart double knee dungarees they have the standard 5 pockets plus 2 on the right side of the thigh and one on the left.
left thigh pocket:
Olight M1X Striker
Fine point sharpie
Bic Gel pen
Right thigh pocket(s):
Leatherman Charge TTi
Sometimes the bit kit it came with depending on what I have planned.
Left front pocket:
Today, Kershaw Leek
iPhone 7Plus
Right front pocket:
Spyderco K2
Watch pocket:
Vic classic
Left rear, write in the rains note pad
Glock 17 magazine
Right rear pocket:
Wallet
Waist band:
Glock 19 w/ Surefire XC1
My bag ATM is just a cheaper SOG sling pack from Walmart that lives in my truck mostly to give my trauma and standard medical kits a home. Along with a few other things like bug spray, sun screen, zip ties, tape, an extra bottle of water just in case, etc.
I will edit this and post a picture of everything after work.
The knives are subject to change though. I don't carry a K2 normally, just today to show a buddy at work who likes big knives.
I know, kind of a lot but it all gets used everyday, except the Glock obviously. Lol
EDIT:
Forgot to take a picture of what I had today but this is laid out for tomorrow. Only difference is the knives. A small CRK 21 and BM Griptilian.
I'm also a commercial fisherman and when I'm not at sea I am at the boat doing maintenance almost everyday. These Tasks can range from metal work like welding and such to electrical, plumbing, wood work, working on hydraulics, painting, or mending fishing equipment. My edc can change based on what's going on at work as you'd imagine.

So I guess I carry light compared to some of you.

My keys hang off a carabiner on belt loop and get tucked into my left front pocket. Right front pocket has a knife which can be whatever I feel like that day. Right rear pocket has a bandana and a Spyderco Military (this never changes). Left rear pocket has my wallet.

This is what I normally carry. Only time I add a Multi-tool in a belt sheath is when I'm working on something or around the house.

Edit to say I work in an office. :D

wallet is in back right pocket. knife is in front right. Phone is in front left. I don't carry much else.

I have a two-stage dump. I try to keep my pockets light so I stick with keys, phone, AA flashlight, wallet and folding knife (the knife varies from day to day).

Then in my backpack I keep a fully stocked Maxpedition CAP pouch...I almost always have my backpack but if not I'll just grab the CAP freehand and endure the man purse jokes, lol.

In the CAP I keep an emergency whistle, matches, duct tape, compass, steel ruler/straightedge, flashlight, Wiha multi driver, Kershaw Barge (prybar with a blade I don't mind crapping up), Leatherman Skeletool, first aid kit, glow stick, emergency blanket, Write in Rain pad, space pen, 25' of 550 paracord, sanitary napkins and a lighter.

When I travel by plane I sadly leave the entire CAP behind and swap the pocket knife for a SAK Jetsetter.

Mine's been the same for the last years:

SAK + Flashlight in a pocket, with a pocket organizer or hanger
MT clipped if it has that option, or in a belt sheath/hanger in the pocket
Main folder in right front pocket, clipped
Backup folder either in left pocket or back pocket
Wallet on the other free pocket along with the phone

any additional things are carried in a necklace (knives, lights, lighters, gadgets)
Edited to add that this is my EDC system for on-person carry,
when i have to go abroad, travel some hours far in a vehicle or visit a city I have a small bag with useful gadgets and stuff, very flat and easy to carry

What brand is the pouch? It might work for my needs.
