Hi everyone!

Last week, I introduced a brand new model to the lineup. It is called the Pyrite and it is a small drop point every day carry knife. It is a simple and elegant design and will handle most edc tasks without a problem. However, after looking at the profile, I felt it was just a bit ordinary and needed to be spiced up just a little bit. I made two subtle changes to it by putting a dip in the spine, just forward of the front pin, and making the drop off on the top of the butt end just a bit more pronounced. Understated changes for sure but I am more pleased now with the overall shape of the knife.

The Pyrite is made from AEB-L stainless. I heat treat and temper the steel in my digitally controlled Evenheat Knife Oven, with a formula designed to achieve a Rockwell of 60. I have been using AEB-L for many years and it is one of my favorite and best performing steels.

The Pyrite is 5 1/2” in overall length with a 2 1/4” cutting edge. The Pyrite has a high flat grind and comes razor sharp. Pin and lanyard tube on this one are nickel. Snappy fitting custom kydex sheaths designed for neck wear or pocket carry finish off the package. Just a great little work knife.

Today I am offering one in stabilized Blue Micarta with polished Sheepshorn bolsters and light blue G-10 liners. The Pyrite in AEB-L is priced at $OLD shipped USA! I accept PayPal F&F, money order or personal check cleared. Thank you for considering my work and please give me a follow on Instagram at Blasted Hill Knives.

Questions and comments are always welcome!

Beautiful! This is a great design. There are few knives more useful than a small, wharncliffe/sheepsfoot fixed blade. Had I not bought that exact type of knife a few months ago, I’d be all over this bad boy. Keep ‘em comin! I won’t be able to resist for long.
