Another Rainy Day.

Yeah Mike this rain sucks. I forgetting what sunshine is like....:grumpy:

Great pics:thumbup: and nice snapper.

Hey great pictures, Big Mike. Did you get any pictures of the Snapper's eggs?

That one picture should be in the poisonous plant thread. Any chance of some close-ups next time you're out?

Great snapper shot. They always have leaches on them don't they? Those overcast, drizzle days always produce the best greens in photos!

The turtle did appear to be working on a nesting spot, and I did stop back a few hour later to spy from a distance, but no eggs where seen.

Funny you say that Ken, my newest photo essay for Forest & Stream is on that very subject.

It’s been submitted and should be published soon.

It could be my eyes are going, plus I just woke up, but, Big Mike, do the flowers look like this?

I know my blown up photo is not the clearest,

…but yes I believe your photo is of the same flower.

Yeah it could be an Iris as well.

I'm not buying the Lilly though. Plus Day Lilly is edible not poisonous.

Daffodills and Irises are poisonous.

Nice pictures. I think I would definitely break out a 4 wt flyrod in that situation, though. LOL How old is your companion?

Big Mike, your photos are great - you weren't trying to do close-up photography.

Phew, GS, I was starting to worry there for a bit.........! :D

Yellow Flag (Iris) - Iris pseudoacorus (sp?)

Great pics Mike, everytime I find myself complaining about the rain I have to remind myself that the place wouldn't be so lush and green without it !!!!

Those turtle pics are awesome, like something from a dinosaur movie eh !!!!!

You are correct Tony.

They are an Iris, not a Lily.

Not me. GP had it pegged as usuall. Your blurry pics made me think Daffodils at first. Then again all the daffodils allready bloomed. GP's pic made me think Iris.

I'm gonna try to make it out on Tuesday. I do have a crap load of stuff to take care of before my trip. But I'll call you to see if you're around.
