Another regulator question...

I picked up an adjustable 0-10psi propane regulator at a thrift shop this weekend for $5.

It's made specifically for deep fat fryers.

The fitting on the burner end of the hose won't seal tightly and leaks. It's swivel orifice fitting and it needs the mating connector.

I'm thinking of having a welding supply press a new fitting on the hose. Or, even better, try to find the mate to the connector.

It's the same as the bayou classic brand sold at home depot for ~$20.

Do you think this will work for a forge? I've read that many people don't need more than 4-6 psi.
